July 15, 2021 – Blossom Hill leadership and board members were proud to honor staff members at a picnic on Thursday, July 15. “Our staff members are our greatest asset,” Lisa Kristosik, CEO of Blossom Hill, told the approximately 40 guests at the picnic dinner. Staff enjoyed a substantial spread provided by the board members and leadership team. Because Blossom Hill provides 24-hour care at all four facilities, additional food and smaller celebrations were provided for staff who were working at the time or working the overnight shift.
The in-person picnic is a follow-up to the virtual staff appreciation event that was held in February to honor staff celebrating milestone anniversaries with Blossom Hill. This event was hosted for all staff to acknowledge the incredible work that they have done, especially through the pandemic where DSP and nursing has changed significantly with new cleaning protocols, day programs being cancelled, and generally helping individuals deal with increased isolation.
