Respite Care

What is Respite Care?

Respite is temporary relief from tasks associated with caregiving either by families or contracted in home caregivers and in some instances emergency housing.

Blossom Hill’s services include respite care within our long-term living facilities. We are a licensed provider of respite care services staffed with Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and 24-hour nursing services. In some cases, we also provide emergency respite services.

Capacity & Care

We have three beds available for respite care in our homes on Abbey Road in North Royalton and under special circumstances one bed available in our Westlake home. The respite beds are licensed through Residential Respite and Institutional Respite through the State of Ohio, or private pay.

Upon admission, we consider individuals who stay with us as part of the Blossom Hill family. The QDDP will inquire about his/her favorite activities, hobbies, likes/dislikes, and important medical information.

How to Request Respite Services

Our Respite beds fill up quickly. You may request dates for respite care services using the form below. We will respond within 48 hours to your request.

We thought the area felt safe, it felt like a safe place to leave him and so we gave it a try one weekend and just loved it. We just loved it.

-Grateful Respite Family

We felt the warmth from the employees who were there. They were just all very very, nice – very outgoing and had a general concern for my son and what his needs were going to be while he was there.

In comparison to other facilities you can see that Blossom Hill is put together with a lot of thought as far as what the facility can do to make life more pleasant for someone who is away from their family.
