About Developmental Disabilities Awarness Month

Each March, the National Association of Councils on Developmental Disabilities (NACDD), and our partners work together to create a social media campaign that highlights the many ways in which people with and without disabilities come together to form strong, diverse communities.

Services and supports for people with developmental disabilities are provided at the county level by your local county board of developmental disabilities (CBDD). 

Disability Language Style Guide

This style guide, developed by the National Center on Disability and Journalism at Arizona State University, is intended to help. It covers almost 200 words and terms commonly used when referring to disability, most of which are not covered in The Associated Press style guide.
