Yvonne Rodriguez, RN, and Devin Peck, RN, Join Blossom Hill as Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing
Rodriguez and Peck to Bring Nearly 30 years’ Nursing Experience
January 11, 2021 – At the beginning of the new year, Blossom Hill, Inc. welcomed Yvonne Rodriguez, RN, as the Director of Nursing and Devin Peck, RN, as the Assistant Director of Nursing. In partnership with the Chief Medical Officer, the Director of Nursing (DON) will manage all health services for the 36 individuals that live in Blossom Hill’s four residential homes. The Assistant Director of Nursing assists the DON with the management of the health services and the day-to-day nursing operations on the floor. Both nurses have a strong clinical background and experience working with vulnerable populations including seniors and individuals with developmental disabilities.
“We are grateful that both Yvonne and Devin have joined our team,” said Lynne Urbanski, Executive Director at Blossom Hill. “Blossom Hill offers a unique setting for nurses. We operate in a ‘family-style,’ setting, which means that you get to know the individuals very well and, while you will be providing quality medical care, you may also be called on to set up a Zoom call with a family or paint someone’s fingernails.”
Lisa Kristosik, BSN RN, and CEO at Blossom Hill agreed. “Our population, especially at our Center Ridge House, has a high degree of nursing needs so we are thankful that Yvonne and Devin are here to provide leadership and guidance for our dedicated nursing staff members,” Lisa said.
Yvonne Rodriguez has 22 years of nursing experience and experience managing fast-paced large nursing homes and other facilities. She brings a wealth of clinical expertise, including wound care, IV and treatments. She is also bilingual and fluent in Spanish.
Devin Peck, RN, has been a nurse for seven years and certified in infection control prevention. As a manager for the past five years, she teaches State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) courses and has worked on oncology and medical surgical units of skilled rehabilitation and long-term care settings.
