Blossom Hill is grateful to Westlake Mayor Dennis M. Clough, Parma Mayor Tim DeGeeter, and North Royalton Mayor Larry Antoskiewicz for issuing official Proclamations to recognize DSP Week September 12-17.

Direct Support Professionals, or DSPs, are the primary care providers for individuals with developmental disabilities. They are often tasked with assisting with their most intimate needs. DSPs work tirelessly to build close, respectful, and trusted relationships with the individuals in their care. DSPs provide essential support services from meal preparation and medication assistance to daily living skills training and life enrichment opportunities and are committed to promoting informed choices and person-centered practices that honor and respect the individuals they service.

DSP Week recognizes the contributions that DSPs make to the community by caring for individuals with disabilities every day.
