OCHA 2023 Winner Adrienne Gonzalez

Congratulations on your nominee Adrienne Gonzalez’s selection as a winner of the 2023 OHCA Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Excellence Award. We are thrilled to share this exciting news with you! Adrienne will be honored at a special Celebration luncheon during the OHCA ID/DD Summit, which will be held on November 13 – 14 at the Renaissance Columbus/Westerville.

The nomination for Adrienne Gonzalez was made by Emily Dubyoski. Our Blossom Hill recognition program, known as Bravos, has been in existence for 10 months. In that short period, our HR Generalist, Adrienne Gonzalez, has been nominated six times. Each nomination reflects similar themes, including her compassion in frustrating or difficult situations, her willingness to help with any task, and her professionalism in all situations. However, each nomination is also unique in terms of what she’s being recognized for and who is recognizing her. From assisting at a fundraising event to ensuring correct staff bonuses and helping with feeding individuals without being asked, Adrienne has shown dedication. She volunteers for after-hours events and patiently addresses payroll issues outside of normal work hours. As one nomination stated, “she keeps her composure and radiates being calm, cool and collected all while balancing her own workload and teaching me the tricks of the trade along the way.” Although she’s not a direct care worker, Adrienne’s dedication to the individuals we serve has never been in question. It’s evident that everything she does, from payroll to mediation to benefits surveys, is done with compassion, teamwork, and integrity.
