Although state regulations do not require residential providers or adult day programs to employ full-time nursing staff, our organization has made the commitment to exceed the standard. We maintain a full-time Director of Nursing and place qualified nurses in each of our group homes as well as at Abilities Enrichment Center, our day program. By doing so, we ensure that every individual we support has direct, consistent access to skilled clinical oversight, timely medical intervention, and coordinated health planning. This investment reflects our belief that high-quality care extends well beyond regulatory compliance.

Having dedicated nursing staff is essential to safeguarding the health, safety, and well-being of our individuals, many of whom have complex medical needs that benefit from professional monitoring and prompt attention. Our nurses collaborate closely with direct support professionals, families, and medical providers to prevent avoidable health issues, manage chronic conditions, and promote overall wellness. By proactively embedding nursing expertise into our daily operations, we create a safer, more responsive environment that enhances each individual’s quality of life and supports them in achieving their fullest potential.
